Rylan Matters forces defenders to be at their absolute best.
Matters is one of the most promising young quarterbacks in Western Canada. With his strong and accurate arm, he has worked his way into the Canadian Junior Football League as a member of the Calgary Colts.
For Matters, high school ball was a stepping stone. When he was a Grade 11 player with the Duchess Park Condors, he was the top-rated quarterback in B.C.’s senior varsity double-A division and played for a provincial all-star team in a game against Alberta. In his Grade 12 year, Matters suited up in the 2015 Senior Bowl, an honour reserved for the elite players in B.C.
