Fischer O’Brien (2024)

Hockey

Fischer O’Brien is a hometown success story in the sport of hockey.

O’Brien – now in his final season of junior with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the B.C. Hockey League – came up through the Prince George Minor Hockey Association and the Cariboo Cougars program. As a hard-working forward, he helped the Cougars win a provincial championship in 2018-19 and was drafted into the Western Hockey League by the Lethbridge Hurricanes in 2018. The Hurricanes traded O’Brien to the Prince George Cougars, and he played with the Cats for three seasons.

This season, O’Brien has become a valuable all-around member of the Bulldogs. He plays a reliable 200-foot game and contributes regularly on offence.

Looking forward, O’Brien will be continuing his educational and hockey journey at Royal Military College.
